TRAVELLER's FAQ

FIND ANSWERS OR ASK US
1How about the check-in and check-out times? Is it possible to leave our luggage in the apartment?

Unless otherwise requested, check-in is conducted in person, and check-in time is from 3 pm until 9 pm.

In case of late check-ins, please ensure that the apartment you're booking has the "Contactless check-in" available amenity. If contactless check-in is not available for that specific apartment, please note that an additional charge (ranging from €30 to €90) will be applied, based on the arrival time. Feel free to contact us if you need any clarification; we always strive to reply within a few minutes.

If you require an earlier check-in before 3 pm, we will endeavor to accommodate your request for luggage storage, usually not before 12 noon. Please note that housekeeping will not be completed before the standard check-in time, and you cannot stay inside the apartment. However, you can leave your luggage, complete the check-in procedure, and take the keys for access at any time after 3 pm, once cleaning is complete.

Check-out time is before 10:30 am. We typically do not meet for check-out; instead, you can leave the keys in our mailbox downstairs.

Late check-outs are generally not possible due to our high occupancy rate. If you need to store your luggage, you can utilize the KiPoint service located inside Central Station or other luggage storage facilities near the apartment you booked.

2How do we collect the keys to access the apartment? Is there a reception area available?

Please be aware that we offer private apartment rentals and do not have a reception desk. Therefore, it is essential that you notify us in advance of your expected arrival time so that someone can be available to facilitate your check-in. In the event of any delays, it is imperative to inform us promptly to avoid any inconvenience or wait times.
If you've opted for a self check-in, you naturally enjoy greater flexibility. We kindly ask that you communicate your check-in time to us so that we can assist you promptly in case of any issues entering the apartment.

3How can I get to the city center from the airport? What is the duration of the journey?

To reach the city center from Milan's airports, you have several options depending on your arrival airport.
If you're landing at Malpensa Airport, you can take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Cadorna station, which takes about 45 minutes, or opt for a shuttle bus directly to Milano Centrale station, which also takes around 1 hour.
Similarly, if you arrive at Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, you can take a shuttle bus to Milano Centrale station, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour. These shuttles operate every 20 minutes, with fares typically ranging from €9 to €12 per adult, while kids and children enjoy discounted fares.
From Linate Airport, you can choose between a taxi, bus, or shuttle service, which usually takes about 30 minutes to reach the city center.

Within a week of your arrival, you will receive specific information from us regarding the apartment you booked to assist you with your journey.

4How much is the Milan Tourist Tax? Why should I pay this extra?

For private apartments, the tourist tax rate has been €4.50 per adult per night since January 2024, and it is always excluded from the rental fee. For further information, please visit the website of the Municipality of Milan.

If you booked via Airbnb, please note that there is an agreement between the platform and the Municipality of Milan, so you have already paid this tax and nothing should be paid upon your arrival.

5Can I pay the balance (if needed) with credit card while checking-in?

Nope, we can accept cash only.

6Is free parking available?

Unfortunately, parking is not included. Free parking is scarce in central Milan, but we can recommend several paid parking lots nearby. Alternatively, street parking is available for a fee, except on Sundays and bank holidays when it is free of charge.
Street parking spaces are marked by blue lines (avoid the yellow ones, which are for residents). To pay for street parking, we recommend using one of the following apps: Easypark, Telepass Pay, MyCicero.

7How can I get tickets for public transport?

You can purchase tickets at newsstands, tobacconists, and directly at the underground stations.
The ATM Journey Planner can be useful for estimating journey times to explore the city by underground, tram, or bus.
For discounts on public transport (and museums), we recommend the Milano Card.

8And if I need more information?

We are at your disposal, feel free to ask! If you have already made a reservation, please note that within a week of your arrival, you will receive a detailed message with all the useful information about public transportation, parking, supermarkets, Wi-Fi, waste separation, as well as some recommendations for restaurants and venues.
